We woke up Saturday morning to a flooded basement. The sprinkler was left on by the side of our house and the new carpet and pad that we put in there in April was SOAKED. So were any cardboard boxes that were sitting on the floor in the storage room that held clothes that the kids have grown out of. We spend the morning soaking up water with every available towel in the house, then drying them and soaking them again. I'm still soaking up water today. Sigh...Oh well.
Saturday afternoon we went to Willard Bay with two of David's sister's and their families. It has been fun living closer to David's family and being able to hang out. They are so much fun! And our kids love being together. Everyone had a blast playing in the water and sand and eating treats. We ended up the day by fishing off of the jette and watching an absolutely stunning sunset. What a great day! Hyum and Skylar kickin back after playing in the water.

The Cuteness
Is this not the cutest thing you've ever seen? Clare loves having her fingernails/toenails painted and begged her Daddy to "painting please?" David did such a good job and was sooooo cute doing it; even as he was saying "Esther, do NOT get the camera and take a picture of this." just as I was running to get my camera to capture this tender moment between my baby girl and her Daddy. He knows me so well. What a great catch I got!

Eat Cake!
So a couple of days ago my Sister in law had a birthday and her husband called to invite us to an impromtu birthday barbeque. I didn't have a whole lot of time to whip something up and not a whole lot of stuff around the house. I did have this white cake mix which I don't typically care for but decided to give it a whirl. I hate store-bought frosting and I didn't know what would go with a white cake anyway so I just whipped up this last minute frosting that turned out really good. I just mixed one half package softened cream cheese, one small tub of cool whip, and two cups of raspberry yogurt. I added a touch of red food coloring for a pretty color and topped it with fresh raspberries. It was so yummy! Anyway, I just wanted to share it with you in case you ever need a fast and easy summer dessert that tastes delish.

Summertime Fun
Here are a few of the happenings around here of late. Clare is as cute as ever and Potty training! She is doing great and has had very few accidents. I caught her trying on my sunglasses the other day in just her underwear. I was shocked at first because I have a picture of myself wearing my mom's sunglasses when I was about the same age and she looks just like me!
