One Palmer family tradition that I really like (there are a lot of ones that I like, but this is one of my favorites) is "diving for quarters" that they do at easter time. Because the bigger grandkids are too big for easter egg hunts, grandpa put a bunch of sawdust in a big pile and then dumps a bunch of quarters in it and lets the kids dig through and find what they can. It's so much fun to watch. This year he put $35 worth of quarters in it. woo hoo!
